random update
well i'm due for another post. here are some random links for your enjoyment:
- fake art in nyc museums - this guy named banksy, a huge british graffiti artist, somehow snuck his art up in four of new york's museums (moma, met, bma, and monh). i thought it was quite tasteful.
- gnome gui enhancements - some people are adding features to the new version of gnome to have luminosity and wobbling windows. do you guys remember when after watching that anime lain, i'd been inspired to write my own navi (the gui in the anime). i might pursue this as a side project once i can get all the other various projects i've been meaning to do out of the way. i'm thinking 3d and layering of windows -- but instead of windows have "panels."
- solar death ray - this guy's going to be the next dr. evil. but if you go here, it makes him sound like a harmless nerd who's doing this to impress chicks.
- and finally... - remember king richard's faire and my obsession with medieval stuff in middle school? this guy's making chainmail on the train! now that's hardcore. linked off gothamist.
